Latest Updates from Our Project:
Townbuilder v1.0 release, end of early access, Feudal Asia release!
– Tue, Dec 22, 2020 at 12:48:28 AM
Hey Architechs,
sorry for the long wait for an update! A lot of work has been done, but since loads of things were being interlinked in dependencies and some took longer to finish than others, we were not able to release a new patch for almost 2 months (longest period so far!), but here we are and with big news!
First, a list of what has just entered the production server:
Models:
Feudal Asia
Castle Scatter
Feudal Asia Scatter
Steampunk Scatter
Signbuilder Medieval Models
Signbuilder Legendary Dragon Heads
2nd Dynasty SciFi Corridors
SciFi Scatter/Misc items.
Stairs Rework Medieval
Stairs Rework Underground
Stairs Rework Steampunk
Code:
End of early access, v1.0 release of the Townbuilder
Group Linking
Filler Blocks
Quality of Life updates
You should receive codes for all the items you bought as AddOns and of course for all the stuff that was part of the stretch goals today! You know the drill by now.
So let's have a look at each point individually!
Feudal Asia Set
Feudal Asia Scatter
Castle Scatter
Steampunk Scatter
Signbuilder
2nd Dynasty SciFi
Reworked Stairs
And here are all stair combinations we could thing of... And the Steampunk stairs aren't even included here
Group Linking
Orange Groups are linked and will be exported as 1 single STL, green groups will be exported normally
A new feature that allows you to connect groups on multiple floors! These groups will then be exported as one STL in the final ZIP file. This allows you to not only print multiple floors at once but also to combine a large tower into one piece while still having everything else be printed and separated into small pieces as you need. A video tutorial on this will follow soon!
Filler Blocks
A Filler Block in Action
Filler Blocks are exactly what they sound like. Blocks that fill! You can add one by pressing Shift + F in the Townbuilder. You can then scale the selected block and move it around to fill up whatever space you need. You can group them for exporting of course. Currently, they are always cubes, but we will add other geometric shapes as well at a later point.
What is still missing?
The big boys that are missing are:
Swamp Set (only the concept is done)
Druidic Set (WIP will hit the beta within a month)
Ruins Set (Largest Set so far, will hit the beta within a week)
Render Studio (80% done, but kind of stuck on some problems, much like the Signbuilder was)
As you can see, the big missing pieces are very much in the final sprint and are coming together quite well. The whole team is kind of overworked as of now, but we are pushing for the final stretch!
Now for the small boys:
80% of the small stretch goals that were sprinkled in between (Stuff like LED capable Lighting, traps and slides, paintings) These are all things that will mostly take a day or two for one artist to finish, they are just many of them.
Fog Monster Pieces (these have not been tackled yet, because we don't have our fog monster unit yet :D, but the guys from RGFX are starting the fulfillment soon, so we should be able to get these out soon)
Airports for other sets (castle, steampunk are done). Not much to say there, since they were addOns to the Kickstarter we felt like we should do them after all sets are done.
Scatter (Ruins, Druidic, Dungeon, Artisan, Market). Artisan, Dungeon and Market are in the making and will be tested soon. Ruins and Druidic will be done by the respective teams after they finish the sets. On that front, we are progressing very very nicely (shoutout to Artfork, he got the hang of this very quickly!).
Timeline
Now that we all know what is done, what is in Progress and what is still missing from the last Kickstarter, let's talk about what will happen in 2021, and when exactly it will happen.
And more specifically, what which part of the team will be doing.
Korson- January:
Townbuilder Subscription System Kickstarter
The already discussed system from one of the last updates will become a reality. Very simple concept: We release 1 Themed Set each month via a system much like miniature patreons do it. Meaning the Set gets more and more content the more Subs we get without anyone having to pay extra.
And with it, we want to make the whole thing a bit more user friendly. Currently, the Townbuilder is only really useful to people who are willing to invest at least 10 hours learning to use it. With the subscription system, we will also release a handful of PRINT-READY prebuilt houses for each theme, that can just be downloaded and printed out, or loaded into the builder and customized. So even if you don't have any time what so ever you get something out of our product, and of course with it you still get the option to build hundreds of buildings when you feel like it.
This way we will be able to get monthly income for the company, and at the same time expand the Townbuilder further and further!
We will offer discounted packages of 1/3/6 months of subscriptions in this Kickstarter. This will perfectly allow us to plan and budget the first half of 2021 and will bring the stability this company needs.
Artists - January to End of March:
Fulfillment of the missing pieces of the Townbuilder Unlimited Kickstarter. Giving our artists another 3 months of time for this should be more than realistic. We are confident that we will have everything done before the fulfillment of the next Kickstarter begins.
Korson, Zatho, Remigius - January to End of March:
Of course, we will have to fix bugs and do some UI changes and expand some features of the Townbuilder, but mainly the programming work is done.
Therefore, we will start planning and implementing the next piece of software whilst managing the final steps of the Townbuilder Unlimited fulfillment.
This piece of software will undoubtedly deserve its own Kickstarter and it will be a lot of fun to program! Of course, that is still way in the future, as our current artists are very much busy right now and for a couple of months, and custom 3D builders are kind of... shit without 3D models :D
Hanfgalf - January andforward:
Hanfgalf is now officially our affiliate manager and with that, he is the one who inserts all models we get from the partner system into the Townbuilder. We already have the first signed partner contracts at the ready and the first models are already being tested. Be ready to find stuff from your favorite creators in the Townbuilder, maybe we will celebrate these via another Kickstarter closer to the middle of the year, or maybe we will just release them in our shop and send out emails so you guys hear of it. First, we need to have a considerable amount of partner models in the Townbuilder, which mainly takes time and testing since they weren't intended to work with our system.
Artists - Mayand forward:
Subscription System begins its fulfillment
Here the monthly cycle will begin, releasing set after set for at least 6 months. Hopefully, this will be all it needs to 'kickstart' the system, and our subscriber count will grow steadily so we can have more and more monthly content! Then by October, we should have enough subscribers to keep everything going and have a self-feeding cycle up and running.
Other Stuff
We have also been playing around with some other ideas on what to do with the second half of 2021, and we do have greater plans for the Townbuilder, but to get there, we first need to get the subscription system and partner system rolling, because without it, we simply don't have any money to fund research and development.
If you have any questions about the upcoming Kickstarter or the idea behind the Subsystem, let me know.
Otherwise, the next update will hopefully bring you v1.1 with bug fixes, Druidic and Ruins, and probably one or two other scatter sets!
Cheers,
Christopher and the Townsmith Team
Great Wyrms of Drakha Lairs coming to the Townbuilder!
– Fri, Nov 13, 2020 at 10:35:48 PM
Hey Architechs,
this update is mainly about the upcoming collab with Draco Studios, but I also give a quick overview about how the fulfillment is progressing at the end of it.
Draco Studios Collab 2
Remember when we announced the Legendary Dragon Hunting Trophy collab?
Well first off, we did not forget about those. The Signbuilder, and with it the Dragon Heads, is entering the beta in a couple of days and should be ready for the live website soon after. (We are always looking for interested beta testers, so please hit me up on Discord if you wanna help out and give feedback!)
Well way back then we also teased that there might be a future project on which we might collaborate again.
Some of you might have already seen their current Kickstarter: Great Wyrms of Drakha.
Here is a little blurb about the campaign:
Great Wyrms of Drakha offers 7 high-level adventures for 5e and encounters against the mightiest dragons in the red moon, with its own bestiary, dragonkin and magic items. The project also features plastic miniatures of the gargantuan dragons (200mm tall!). Or if you are into 3D printing you can get the STL bundle for all 7 dragons and even the massive battlemaps and lairs.
Oh? What did I just read there? STLs of the dragons' lairs? I mean that sounds pretty freaking great already and you get them for just 10$.
But what if we took the layers, made them into sets and added them to the Townbuilder?
Well that is exactly what is happening!
Lairs Concept art
So here is how this will work:
As I said before, for 10$ you get the pre-assembled lairs as STL files. With this collab, however, the campaign will get another AddOn: STL lairs + access code to unlock them in Townbuilder
This will run you 15$, but even if you only want the modular lairs, this will still be a huge money saver over the retail price of these later on. We are looking at a minimum of 40€ in retail, so go ahead and save yourself the headache.
Head over to the GREAT WYRMS OF DRAKHA KICKSTARTER and check out what they offer or just pledge the 1$ now to get into the campaign and get the lairs as an addon later on.
Apart from Baastherox's lair, they are still in development and I will share news with you as they get ready and make their way into the Townbuilder, but just look at this gorgeous concept art and if you've seen the Dragon of the Red Moon campaign, you will know that they are more than capable of producing amazing sculpts!
General Update
This will be a quick one, as the monthly update is coming in about two weeks.
Coding is 95% done.
The only thing that is left is cleaning up the render studio and of course fixing thousands of bugs. But as I said in the last update, this means me and Tom can focus on the next project while making the Townbuilder better and better on the side.
The Signbuilder is now ready for the beta testing and will go live within this month I think.
Modeling is not 95% done.
Feudal Asia is almost finished and will hit the beta together with the Signbuilder and then live presumably also within this month. We finally got roofing right. These roofs just look amazing and work, but more on that with the next update.
Ruins are up next and Druidic is still being developed further as it is our most sculpting intensive set yet.
After that only Swamp is left and the Kickstarter will be fulfilled for the most part.
A lot is happening behind the scenes here at Townsmith and I cannot wait to share everything with you guys, but you will have to wait a bit longer as we are still figuring out timelines and legalities for everything.
Talk to you Architechs in a few weeks, or whenever you guys want to on Discord.
Cheers,
Christopher and the Townsmith Team
Castle Set, Medieval and Underground Scatter, Building Blocks!
– Tue, Oct 27, 2020 at 07:15:28 AM
Hey Architechs,
we are getting there.
That about sums up the feeling in the office during the past month. The constant anxiety that was my companion since the day we launched is writing its goodbye letters and getting ready to finally fuck off.
There were huge jumps in terms of development during the last month. We are finally figuring our shit out, fixing issues that were in the system since the beginning because we just didn't know better back then, and getting used to managing people. With 3 Artists working full time and 2 more working part-time, and 2 more people working on marketing and visualization, I have quite a bit of management on my hands, in addition to programming the Townbuilder. But it feels like I am growing to fulfill the expectations that are placed onto my shoulder. That feels incredibly good.
Current State of Fulfillment
In terms of code, only the Signbuilder and the Renderstudio are left. We will of course still implement quality of life updates and fix bugs, but the Townbuilder as it was presented in the Kickstarter is about to be finished, probably before the next set is released.
I did not think I would be able to say this within 2020.
In terms of Models, Druidic and Feudal Asia are in development, Ruins has been skipped because Alex wanted to do it and he is still working on Druidic as of now.
We got the first two of our 9 (I think) Scatter packs done and our new artist Artfork is getting really good at developing these packs quickly and cleanly!
And there is another thing that just happened. Townsmith just turned 1 year old! We kind of forgot about the anniversary honestly, it feels like we started doing this like a month ago.
Anyway, we just wanted to thank all of you for making this possible. Since this Kickstarter campaign, we are able to do this full time and even get paid for it, which is just the fucking dream! Onto another 12 months of craziness!
Castle Set
Castle has been released today. Your activation codes should be on their way.
As it was to be expected, castle isn't a super innovative or gigantic set. But it does its job. Thick and high walls, large gates, battlements, towers. We put a specific focus on getting a lot of curved models in there, going up to curves more than 3x larger than any we had before. We hope that with this set we will see some cool combinations with the medieval set, as they are natural fits.
Building Blocks
This feature is what we made out of the stretch goal "Building import". And boi is this a feature.
Basically, we implemented the possibility to load groups and models (with perfectionist controls and everything else applied to them) into your current building with just one click.
We provide a few predefined building blocks that you will find in the model menu. Basically, wherever we think that the difficulty of building something is higher than we can expect a normal user to get it on the first try, we will add a building block for it.
Perfect examples for this are Stairs, Airports, Roofs.
With this patch, only a couple of blocks will be available since we are still testing the feature. But over time we will add more and more of them, adding a sorting mechanism to them as well. We are looking at a Townbuilder where you will be able to create buildings with just a couple of clicks, already perfectly grouped and ready for export, and then just add your customizations to them.
A stair building block being placed into two floors at once
So this feature is huge for casual users that just want to quickly get something going, and it allows us to go wild with models, making them incredibly complex and hiding this complexity behind building blocks (Like the new stair system, props to Monika for figuring that stuff out).
But we also have something for our power users with this.
YOU CAN DEFINE YOUR OWN BUILDING BLOCKS!
Whenever you save a building you can turn that building into a building block and it will show up in the "Your building block tab" in the Townbuilder. You can also turn any old save you have in your projects into a building block, ready to use with just one click.
Defining your own building blocks
Using your own building block
Just think about this for a second... You can literally create a fully modular street system or your own style of house front and load it into each of your buildings with just a click. Created a roof you like? Just save it as a building block and reuse it whenever you want.
Want to build an entire city that always uses the exact same rim around all buildings so they will always fit together on a grid? We got you covered!
Or maybe you just want to place the same market stall 5x and then customize it with scatter and some small changes. No more copy-pasting over 3 floors, now you can just make it as a separate building, save it as a building block and you are good to go!
Intelligent Architechs will be able to leverage the potential of this feature to its fullest, and I can't wait to see it!
Scatter
We can't talk about scatter without talking about Dim. Yes, we hired yet another 3D artist.
He is doing everything scatter at Townsmith, from the ideas to the concept-art to the actual 3D modeling.
Dumitru "Artfork" Furculita
So just to get it out of the way:
Medieval and Underground Scatter released today.
Medieval Scatter
Underground Scatter
These items are available in your profile under scatter. You can select which ones to download and wether or not you want the presupported file, or you can just download the whole pack.
If you own the Townbuilder Pro Edition, you can also use them via the Scatter Layer, which was just released today.
These items will not be exported as a part of the building, but instead they will be placed as separate STLs in their own folder in your ZIP file.
We are still working on generating a pdf checklist with pictures for all your scatter items, but we didn't want to hold back the models any longer.
Partner Programm: User-added content
We have read your answers and suggestions carefully and we have thought about user-added content carefully.
And the conclusion is the following: At the moment we are not ready to enable user-added content in general. We do not have the time or capabilities to get this feature implemented properly.
We just cannot become Thingiverse or MMF for buildings right now, with users sharing their stuff freely through our site.
But we still want people to be able to create for the Townbuilder, share their designs, and earn some money through us.
So we decided to take it slow and get used to working with the community on such a level via a partner program.
The idea is the following: If you want to sell assets for and through the Townbuilder, you will have to get in contact with us and become an approved Townsmith partner (cool fantasy-themed name for a partner is still pending :P).
There are three kinds of models you can sell through us, I'll start with the simplest and work my way to the most complex:
A) Scatter: Individual small models that are not printed connected to the building. Since these are comprised of 1 single mesh and just sit around in our system and make use of the scatter layer, these are the simplest models to adept to us.
B) Set Pieces: Also individual finished models but these are scenery or building parts. If you model buildings or scenery that is meant to be printed as is but that could be expanded upon with our system, we can add those in the Townbuilder.
Example of this use case: You sculpted a snowy dwarven ruin that sticks out of the side of a hill, all as 1 piece. In the Townbuilder could now expand the ruin with the Townbuilder Castle and Ruins set and then export all of the files as 1 or split by groups.
Another example would anything that is like scatter but should be printed with the building. Something like trees, bushes, a finished market stall, a millwheel etc.
Still relatively doable in terms of adaptation, but they will have to align with our system. No one wants a 2mm gap between the Set-piece and the position of our walls.
C) Asset Packs. These are by far the most complex ones. They are like our sets, just made by you. In order to adapt models for our system, you need to get a good understanding of how our models and system works. For this, we will provide an instruction manual but still, there might be a lot of work to do before the models are actually ready for the users. The Townbuilder is not as simple as plugging OpenLOCK compatible models right in there.
Since we are aware of how complex our system can be and that not everyone has the time to get into it just in order to sell 5 or 10 models, we are offering two partnership plans:
Plan A) You deliver us the assets and sign the contract => We adept everything for the system and you have to worry about nothing more (as long as your meshes aren't broken). With this plan you get 70% of the money the models make in our store.
Plan B) We give you instructions how to prepare the models and we provide you with examples. We will of course also tell you what is wrong with the models when you send them to us, but we will not do anything else apart from testing them. We will only offer them through our shop once they are correct. With this plan you get 90% of the money the model makes in our store.=
In either plan, you decide how much the models should cost.
Obviously, this is not a fleshed-out system yet. We do not have fancy marketing graphics for it, and this is the first time we even talk about it. If you have further feedback, let us know.
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN BECOMING A PARTNER PLEASE MESSAGE US WITH A QUICK SHOWCASE OF WHAT YOU CREATE UNDER:[email protected]
The Future
I always like to give small teasers at the end of these updates, so here they come:
Subscription
With just 4 sets missing and two of them already pretty far into development, I want to talk about the future of the Townbuilder, specifically the financial future of it.
I think we are all aware that 300.000€ is a lot of money. More than I ever had thought I'd manage ever in my life. But it is still a finite amount. And we promised a lot of stuff in this Kickstarter. We are working on a tight schedule and everyone in this company is underpaid. We are getting better at our jobs, so we are able to create more at the same time which is quite a relief, but our budget will still be exhausted by the time we finish the fulfillment of the Kickstarter (remember there are like 5 to 10 stretch goals attached to each set).
We sold two set commissions as part of this Kickstarter. The two syndicate leaders are in contact with me and we will soon start talking with them about the theme they want for their sets.
With these two sets, we will launch a monthly subscription service. Much like other companies are releasing models on a monthly basis via Patreon, we will just do it via our own website for financial and flexibility reasons.
The cost will be around 10€ a month for normal users. Initially, we will release 1 set a month. We will then set subscriber goals, i.e. at 1000 subs, we will also release a handful of scatter items each month, etc, at 2000 we will also release a mini-expansion to an older set, etc.
Of course, all sets after the initial two will be voted by our subscribers as well as everything else :D
We really want to keep releasing models for the Townbuilder, but for that, it will need to at least pay the server costs and the modelers themselves.
Let me know what you guys think about this approach!
Project B
Remember how we said, that the Townbuilder would certainly not be the last time you heard from us? Well, we had an idea for a second product way back then but Tom and I forced ourselves to specifically NOT think about it because there was still so much to do with the Townbuilder.
Here we are, half a year later, with the finish line in sight and we started talking and thinking about Project B. Nothing specific we can talk about yet, but we started the planning phase and the first implementation steps will commence as soon as the Signbuilder and the Render Studio are up an running.
We plan to go into a beta phase accompanied by another Kickstarter early next year. Keep posted for more information on that.
Cheers,
Christopher and the Townsmith Team
Early Access v1.1 - Steampunk, UI Rework, Beta Testers, User Submitted Content and Merch!
– Wed, Sep 30, 2020 at 01:01:27 AM
Hey Architechs,
We have just ended the maintenance and the Townsmith Website now contains the Townbuilder Early Access v1.1!
Check our Patchnotes, and read below for some details and updates
Edition and Set Renaming
We did some cleanup on the naming system!
The Editions' names have changed as follows: Infinite is now called 'Pro'. Unlimited is now called 'Advanced'. This changes nothing about their features, just the names.
The sets have been partially renamed. The Basic Sets are now called Medieval, Caves & Sewers is now called Underground and Steampunk stays as Steampunk :D
User-Submitted Content
One of the most requested features for the Townbuilder will now finally be discussed between me and Tom.
We find that the Townbuilder is slowly getting into a good place, where we have enough knowledge about it, its future and the models that we can discuss whether we allow user-submitted content in it or not.
But we want your opinion. Please tell us what you think here:
The Steampunk Set just released! We are sending out the activation codes right now!
New UI and Grouping
The Townbuilder UI got a rework and is now actually streamlined and much more usable!
They are mostly small changes behind the scenes, making it easier to have the Townbuilder scale on smaller and larger screens.
The biggest new feature for you guys is the set filter. With the third Set now being released we thought it would make sense to allow to filter for them.
New UI
Grouping now works as expected. While having a group selected, it will rotate around its own axis instead of having each model rotate around their respective ones. Clicking on a model in a group will still select the model itself, allowing for editing in groups. Alt Clicking any model of a group will however select the group for quick rotations.
Building Blocks WIP
Boi this is a big one. Such a big one. Maybe the single most important feature we implemented yet.
Building blocks are basically prebuilt structures that are added to a building as a whole. In our example, we are using the brand new steampunk airports. One single click, the entire airport is added starting on the floor you have currently selected. You then are able to move and rotate the entire structure as one. Using the Building Block Menu on the right side menu, you can go back and rearrange the block at any time.
Once you have placed everything where it needs to be, you can remove the building block and edit the models, or just leave it as it is so you can change it at a later date.
Building Block - Example Airport
And here comes the big thing: Of course, we will predefine building blocks that will live in the model menu for you guys. Stuff like stairs and typical roofs will now be available at the press of a button. But this isn't the only way we will enable the use of building blocks. You will also be able to define any of your saved buildings as a building block. This means you can prebuild virtually anything and have it available at a moment's notice. Building an entire city that always uses the same ground plate so they can connect in a large grid? Easy. Wanna create a modular street system of 10x10 squares that people can combine to fit their needs? Here you go. Want to prepare a tower for your wizard's castle that will be placed 10 times but you don't want to go through and copy-paste all models and groups on each floor? SOLUTION BUILDING BLOCKS.
This feature is sooo huge, I hope you guys understand that I had to delay the Signbuilder for this. Tom will of course also create infrastructure for sharing the building blocks with the community!
We hope to finish this feature within the next couple of weeks and get it out to the live version ASAP.
Merch Production
After some difficulties and miscommunication with our merchandise partner, the production of all merchandise finally began, sorry for the long wait time. Everything from stickers to hoodies should be finished around mid-October and will be shipped out soon after.
Beta Testing
We are looking for more beta testers to join our Alchemist Team. The idea here is as follows:
You get access to a different Website, where we host the beta version of the Townbuilder. You get access to new sets about 2 weeks before everyone else, and you also get to test my buggy features. In return for your suffering we just ask a little favor off of you: test everything! Check for missing models, thumbnails, weird behavior and most importantly: Print some stuff!
If you are interested, please join our Discord and send me a message there!
Future Plans and WIP
The Signbuilder is nearly done as I already said in the last update. We are in need of some more assets and maybe a couple of days of development on it, but we now want to launch it with the Dragon Trophies already included, so we are waiting on the completion of all legal stuff on that side.
Building blocks and the UI rework were the two big things I wanted to get done in the Townbuilder itself. I feel like it is in a very good spot right now. I will focus on the Signbuilder and then tackle the render studio, but my gut feeling tells me the coding side of this Kickstarter will be done within this year.
The modeling part however looks like it will take a bit longer.
Until the next set or feature is released,
Cheers,
Christopher and the Townsmith Team!
Steampunk Set progress, Testing the polling system, New Faces
over 5 years ago
– Fri, Sep 11, 2020 at 09:52:51 PM
Hey Architechs,
first, let's get to the most important part: What progress has been made since the last update?
Steampunk
We are in the middle of developing the Steampunk Set, and we expect to be able to release it about 2 weeks from now, as long as no major issue comes up. It looks like we are slowly finding a groove with the modeling process which speeds up the development process. So what can you expect from the Steampunk set?
So here are a couple of screenshots of a test building by one of our Beta Print testers, Lord of Eat! (If you are interested in Beta Printing, send me a message on Discord).
This set features three materials: Brick, Metal Plates, and Plaster (not represented here). Together with Fachwerk, you will be able to create all different kinds of crazy steampunk styles! Airports are of course also on the way, they just need a bit more refinement.
As you see in the test build as well, we now have our first 2 story windows. These have not been test-printed but we hope they will turn out nice so we continue this trend in the future. Of course, there are also normal windows and doors available with the set.
We also developed an extensive pipe system that spans all of the new models and connects them. You can have entire steam poweredsteam-powered buildings now! And of course... You will need some machinery to use all that steam pressure on!
Concept Art for steam powered machinery (Not final designs)
These little beauties will be added and will connect to the pipe system, but that connection will be optional (as an addon).
We will expand those with wall-mounted control boards and also with some machines that will be placed on the roofs (think chimneys and exhaust fans)
I hope you guys like it! Curved and Angled models will follow suit.
Mini Set Wood
Monika was practicing her modeling skills and found a really nice way to sculpt wood! So during this practice session, she created a couple of wooden boards so we just went ahead and implemented the Mini Set Wood. I know... I know. "This is a stretchgoal from way later down the line! Why did you spend the time on this and not on X???" Shhhh... Take you wood walls and build some sheds. They come in straight curved and angled!
The polling system
Leon's first job was implementing a polling system, since we want to continue working closely together with the community on all model decision, so what future sets will be and stuff like that. There are still a couple of decisions left open from the Kickstarter, mainly about alternate textures and we will throw up polls for them once we get there. For now we will just put up some questionnaires about video topic and questions for the Q&A. You can find the currently active polls here:
If you are interested in video tutorials make sure to cast your vote on a topic.
TitanCraft - Custom Monsters
Just a quick shoutout to Andrew Stockton, the maker of DesktopHero and now also TitanCraft!
He worked with us before and we will continue this partnership into the future!
I was able to check out TitanCrafts Alpha some time ago and since then I was super hyped to see it launch and I am very happy that the Kickstarter is taking off the way it does right now! I wouldn't shout it out if I wouldn't find use in the tool, much like with Dekstop Hero.
Titancraft is basically a custom monster mini maker (and the first one at that). As with DesktopHero and the Townbuilder, you pay once and get unlimited downloads and customizations. I am so fucking ready to create a reoccurring villain for my campaign with this :D
You already heard a new name up there in the polling section. And it isn't the only one! Please welcome our team's new members!
Leon "Remigius" Kunzler
Leon is joining the development team as our guy for everything. He implemented the polling system and will work on improving the looks and usability of the UI.
Marco "Hanfgalf" Folz
Marco is now working as our Media Creator! He will cut and edit the videos, produce graphics for our sets, the shop, these Kickstarter posts and future projects.
Anni "PoroPannini" Giro
Anni has been working for us for quite some time, though she never got the announcement she deserved! She is our Marketing manager, handling both social media as well as sponsorships.
